Friday Family Film Night: WE FEED PEOPLE review

In which the Monsters (the Mister had a work deadline) join me in reviewing WE FEED PEOPLE (2022). The film, directed by Ron Howard, is currently streaming on Disney+. The documentary chronicles chefJosé Andrés, who decided during the 2010 Haiti earthquake, that he could not stand idly by as a spectator. He decided to cut short a family vacation and go to Haiti and see how he could help. Being a world renowned chef, he got to thinking that in times of disaster, he could offer comfort through a love language – food. What began as a casual need to help hisfellow humans soon morphed into a calling and the non profit, World Central Kitchen came into existence. Years later, José Andrésamong others, have helped feed thousands of people through naturaldisasters and wars. The film speaks to the chef, his family, friends and colleagues and covers not only his philanthropybut also delves a bit into his past.The film has a run time of 1 h 29 m, and is not rated. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
