In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE SEA BEAST (2022) which is currently streaming on Netflix. With screenplay credits to Chris Williams and Nell Benjamin and directed by Chris Williams,the film follows Maisie (Zaris-Angel Hator) a young orphan who stows away on a celebrated sea monster hunter’s, Captain Crow (Jared Harris), ship and forges a relationship with Jacob (Karl Urban). They soon find their world and way of life forever changed after an encounter with the dreaded sea beast known as the ‘Red Bluster’. They cometolearnthat the things they thought they knew might not be quite right and that even heroescan still be wrong. A compelling script, gorgeous visuals and excellent voice actors make this a MUST WATCH. The film has a run time of 1 h 55 m, and is rated PG. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
