In which the Mister joins me in reviewing THE GRAY MAN (2022), a new original release that is streaming on Netflix. The film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is based on the book by Mark Greaney. The screenplay was attributed to Joe Russo, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film follows Six (Ryan Gosling) a young man who whilein prison meets Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thorton) who giveshim the opportunity at a second chance and redemption. The gamble pays off and Six becomes one of the legendary Gray Man, deadly ghostoperatives taskedby the government to discreetlyget the job done byany means necessary. We are pulled into one of Six’s jobs that becomes compromised and lands him on the wrong side of the law. Six is in a race to figure out what exactly is afoot and who set him up. Fantastic action sequences, a tight compelling script, wonderfulactors all tie in to makethis a perfect action thriller for the Summer. The film is 2 h and 2 m and is rated PG-13.
