Friday Family Film Night: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM review

In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM (2023) currently in theaters.  With a screenplay by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Jeff Rowe, Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit from characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, the film is directed by Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears.  This version of the Turtles finds Leonardo (Nicolas Cantu), Donatello (Micah Abbey), Michelangelo (Shamon Brown Jr.) and Raphael (Brady Noon) navigating their teenage years with their overprotective parental unit, Splinter (Jackie Chan).  One night they meet April O’Neil (Ayo Edebiri) and soon are on a mission to save the City and earn the love and respect of its residents and fulfill their dreams of being average teens.  A solid script, outstanding voice performances, fantastic animation and a killer soundtrack make this a MUST WATCH!  The film clocks in at 1 h 39 m and is rated PG.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review. This episode of the podcast is dedicated with love to Uncle Mike on his special day and a shout out to the Ipic Theater in Fort Lee and the staff and deliciousness at City Perch!
