In which the Mister joins me in reviewing PIG (2021), currently available on Hulu. Written and directed byMichael Sarnoski, from a story by Vanessa Block and Michael Sarnoski; the film follows Robin (in a breathtakingly poignant performance from Nicolas Cage), a man who traded his fame, fortune and comforts for complete isolation in the Oregon woods. Amir (played by Alex Wolff) is the only human contact he has during this time but Robin prefers the company of a beloved truffle pig. A home invasion finds the pig taken and Robin starts a manic journey, desperate to retrieve his pig. The film has a run time of 1 h 32 m and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
