This film is a biographical dramatization based on the life and writings of American journalist and author, Isabel Wilkerson (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor), dealing with multiple familial deaths while researching the origins behind systemic racism after the death of Trayvon Martin rocks the nation. This research becomes her critically acclaimed book, CASTE: THE ORIGINS OF OUR DISCONTENTS.
