In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing NANDOR FODOR AND THE TALKING MONGOOSE (2023) which is to buy/rent on Prime Video. Written and directed by Adam Sigal, the film tells the story of famed paranormal psychologist debunker, Nandor Fodor (Simon Pegg) travels to the Isle of Man to meet with the Irvings about their talking mongoose, Gef (voiced by Neil Gaiman – yes that Neil Gaiman). The story is loosely based on a story covered in the British tabloids in the late 1930s. Good performances and great production values unfortunately don’t save the film. The film clocks in at 1 h 36 m and is rated PG-13. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
