Friday Family Film Night: MY BEST FRIEND’S EXORCISM review

In which the Mister and oldest Monster join me in reviewing MY BEST FRIEND’S EXORCISM (2022), currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Based on Grady Hendrix’s Quirk Books novel, with a teleplay credit to Jenna Lamia, the film is directed by Damon Thomas and stars Elsie Fisher as Abby and Amiah Miller as Gretchen. The film follows Abby, Gretchen and their friends Margaret (Rachel Ogechi Kanu) and Glee (Cathy Ang) as they havea sleepoveratMargaret’s parents cabin. During the course of the evening, Abby runs away because she’s being made fun of. Gretchen runs after her and they wind up at an abandoned structure that houses a deep, dark evil secret that is slowly and deliberatelycoming after all the girls. The film is 1 h and 37 m and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
