In which the Mister joins me in reviewing KATE (2021), currently streaming on Netflix. Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, with a script by Umair Aleem, the story follows Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) an assassin who has 24 hours to find out who had her poisoned and to right a previous wrong with Ani (Miku Patricia Martineaue). Many of the film’s elements like story, cinematography, action sequences and art direction, come together nicely to weave a simple tale and decent character arc for Kate. Woody Harrelson is good as usual as Varrick and adds a good addition to the final outcome of the story. The film is rated R with a run time is 1 h 46 m. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
