Friday Family Film Night: HEATHERS review

In which the Mister joins me in reviewing HEATHERS (1988), from a script by Daniel Waters, the film is directed by Michael Lehmann.  In this dark comedy, a girl named Veronica (Winona Ryder) feels hopelessly trapped as a member of the most popular clique in her high school, the Heathers – Heather Chandler (Kim Walker), Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty) and Heather McNamara (Lisanne Falk). Then a mysterious new student named J.D. (Christian Slater) sweeps her off her feet and offers a deadly solution to her problems.  The film has a run time of 1 h and 43 m, is rated R and is currently streaming on AMC+, Plex, PlutoTV, Prime Video, Starz, Roku Channel and Tubi.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
