In which the Mister joins me in reviewing EVIL DEAD RISE (2023), currently available for streaming on Max and to buy/rent on Prime Video.  In a rebooted universe, from a property originally conceived by Sam Raimi, this new iteration comes to us from writer/director Lee Cronin.  In this story, Beth (Lily Sullivan) goes to visit her sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) after confirming some personal news for herself.  While at her sister’s apartment that she shares with her 3 kids: Bridget (Gabrielle Echols), Danny (Morgan Davies) and Kassie (Nell Fisher), things start going horribly wrong and Ellie’s L.A. apartment becomes the battleground for the family’s survival.  The film has a run time of 1 h and 36 m and is rated R.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
