In which the Mister joins me in reviewing EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE (2022), in theaters but also for rent. The film, directed by The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) from a script by The Daniels, follows a day in the life of Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh), who is under extreme stress as she is pulled in a million directions – trying to save a floundering business, taking care of her father Gong Gong (James Hong), balancing her duties to her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) and daughter, Joy (Stephanie Hsu), all the while being audited by the IRS and Deidre (Jamie Lee Curtis). In a story that defies explanation, the film touches on many themes like the daily struggle, relationships between spouses, fathers and daughters, mothers and daughters. Its is amazing storytelling on universal themes and bears watching multiple times. The film is 2 h and 19 m and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
