In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (2022), which is currently streaming on Disney+ but also still in theaters. The film, written by Michael Waldron, is directed by Sam Raimi, from characters created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The story begins by following America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), a young woman who’s powers have gotten her lost in the Multiverse and she encounters Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Her powers have also painted a target on her back and something or someone is out to get her. She appeals to him for help and Stephen goes to his old friend and fellow Avenger, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) to recruit her to help him get America to her proper place. Secrets and plans are revealed and Dr. Strange must race against time and through the Multiverses to help America. A fantastic film that incorporates a lot of Raimi-isms, cool FX work, costumes, set pieces and splendid performances make this a MUST WATCH. The film has a run time of 2 h 6 m, and is rated PG-13.
