In which the Mister joins me in reviewing ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (2022), currently available on Netflix. Directed by Edward Berger, from a script by Edward Berger, Lesley Paterson and Ian Stokell, the film is based on Erich Maria Remarque’s novel. The film follows Paul (Felix Kammerer) a young man sold on the propaganda peddled by his country elders and he enlists and goes to war – in this film WWI. One by one his 3 friends quickly become casualties of war and Paul is left to pick up the pieces and carry on as the war rages merciless around him. Fantastic performances, a compelling story and top notch production values make this a MUST WATCH. The film has a run time of 2 h and 28 m and is rated R.
