Day 80 of 365 Days of Gratitude

Spring has sprung! Today has been, so far, the very definition of a lazy Sunday and I am here for it. Yesterday I did some planting and discovered my tulips are coming back – YAY! Also the husband stayed on top of the kiddos and their chores as well as made dinner and finished up some odds and ends on the chores checklist – have I mentioned how gaga I am for this man? He’s a keeper.

Last night I rewatched 1993’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and a line that stayed with me is when Benedick tells Beatrice: “Serve God, love me and mend.” Wow – I felt that. I am contremplatining adding a quote to my days of gratitude so for day 1 of Spring I say to all:

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
