Today I am so incredibly grateful for all the essential workers.
As someone who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York; I’ve never needed to really learn to drive. Now that I live in the Garden State, well let’s just say this was not the best course to have taken. My life would be infinitely easier with the ability to drive. When the pandemic first started, the ability and ease to get groceries was not where it is today and there were times I was seriously taken aback by the virus and how it had disrupted so much of life.
Today I got my Instacart order and it’s always a relief to see a full refrigerator. Not being able to feed and care for my family legitimately kept me up at night at the start of this thing. I am eternally grateful for the men and women who do our shopping and keep us stocked. I wish they didn’t have to but I am happy to help them in some way to stay afloat. This has been an exceedingly difficult time for all of us. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully we can all stay healthy and get there together.
