Today I am grateful to the local library for sponsoring programs and seminars that local residents can participate in. Today I took a yoga class offered by Vitality Yoga & Wellness NJ in West NY. For an hour we got into the practice and I was exhausted but felt great. As I get older I’ve realized yoga is the best exercise. I need to get into the practice more and carve out more time to take care of me.
Through my employer, I’ve tried to sign up for every meditation class offered. Some days I can make it and others its impossible to break away from some other urgent task. Because of the nature of my job, it’s not always easy to predict how the day will go and the busy ebbs and flows. I try to attend as many meditation sessions as I can because I feel like they have also helped me tremendously, especially during this time of COVID.
I think we all need to take time for ourselves, not only during the pandemic but maybe more so now than at any other time. Be good to each other but please start by being good to yourself.
