Today a shout out to beds and sheets. There’s no place I love more than my bed. And as I’ve gotten older I will now pay top dollar for good sheets and blankets whih on cold days like now are so welcome. Sometimes I wonder how I ever got through life with flimy, cheap sheets – its worth the investment to get quality stuff for your bed. Although at times its hard to guage how well something feels or the construction, especially when you buy online. I don’t think I’ve been to a store to buy sheets since…I honestly don’t know – maybe 3 or 4 presidents ago? Thats crazy actually but now more than ever it seems like the new normal.

My new favorite is a fleece sheet set I got off Zulily – my kids even loved it they begged for some for their own beds too. They’re great and I usually have to wash and put back on the beds immediately as they want those sheets now in winter. And the other great thing is that it really can change up a room and there are so many styles and patterns to choose from. For Christmas I gifted everyone sheets sets and comforter sets – not exciting as an electronic but I love nice new bedding, especially after a long day. The older I get the more grateful I am for the small things.
