Today I watched THE ILLUSIONIST from 2006 and it still holds up. A gorgeous tale of love and second chances, it tells the story of a young man and woman who reconnect after many years who have always loved each other but because of societies norms, find they cannot be together. Added to the mix is the fact that she’s also engaged to the Crown Prince who is less than likable. Secrets are revealed and plans ae hatched to change fates.
