Today I am grateful for Fathers Day and the loving memories I have of my Dad. He’s no longer with me here but I adore and cherish all of my memories and am especially grateful he met and gave his blessing to the union with my husband who is also a stellar Dad. My Dad passed before either of my kids were born but my BFF told me once that as he was coming into the hospital to see me, he saw my Dad leaving and I feel this to be true with every fiber of my being. I often pine for my Dad and miss him so much its almost unbearable but I still talk to him which keeps his spirit alive to me and makes me miss him a little less because of course he is now always with me.

To all those who are blessed to be able to spend this day with their Dad – enjoy and cherish it. To everyone else – I see you, am you and send so much love your way. May we all rejoice in memories of happier days and times with our Dads who may not be here in the physical world with us but are truly never gone and in many ways now always with us.
