Today I am grateful for washer and dryers in the home. I cannot imagine lugging clothes in the Winter to a laundromat. Especially now in a pandemic. I know it sounds silly but I always say I would not have survived living in pioneer days – imagine washing clothes in a stream in the dead of Winter? Lord, help us all.

It’s not lost on me that not everyone is afforded this simple comfort. It seems like a little thing but clean clothes are essential – especially with small kids. Its important to keep things clean, to teach my kids the value of taking care of their things and their clothes and in a sense themselves. In a time where we are constantly being bombarded with messages of washing our hands, cleanliness goes hand in hand in that. The world at large is offering another example and teachable moment for the kids.
